Dana Elcar was an American television and film actor. He was known for his roles on the series Dark Shadows and MacGyver.

He was born in Ferndale, Michigan, to Danish immigrant parents, Hedvig/Hedwig Thora and James/Jeppe Åge Elcar/Elkjar/Elkær, who was a carpenter and butcher. He had one child with his former wife Peggy Romano; and two children with his former wife Marianne Torrance.
