Do airports check for bench warrants?

Remember, it is not the airlines that check to see if a person has a criminal record or warrant (you can fly domestically with a bench warrant and not run into any trouble), it is immigration officials at the border that will detect it.

Can I fly international If I have a warrant?

Flying internationally with a warrant To travel internationally, you must have a passport. Additionally, you cannot have a passport if you have a federal arrest warrant for any crime. If your legal issues have led a judge to revoke your passport, you will be unable to leave the country.

It depends on the applicable circumstances. Some people do manage to fly common carriers internationally out of ATL even with a warrant. The chances of a problem at re-entry may be greater than at exit, but there too it comes down to the applicable circumstances.
