Do companies still pay weekly?

Most companies run payroll either monthly or semi-monthly (twice per month, for example, every 15th and 30th) or biweekly (every two weeks, for example, every other Friday). Weekly payroll better matches an hourly employee’s cash flow needs.

Do companies pay weekly or biweekly?

Traditionally, employers establish weekly, biweekly, semimonthly and/or monthly payrolls. A weekly payroll occurs once per week, and a biweekly payroll happens every two weeks.

Do employees get paid weekly or monthly?

Most awards, enterprise agreements or registered agreements will set out when employees must be paid (weekly, fortnightly or monthly). If it doesn’t, employees must be paid at least monthly.
