Do you still have to pay interest if you stop using your credit card?

Unpaid balances from before you stopped using the card will continue to accrue interest. If your balances have been paid in full, you won’t have to send in any new payments. If your credit card charges an annual fee, not using the card won’t get you out of having to pay.

Unfortunately if you’ve cancelled your card, this won’t necessarily stop the CPA being taken from your account and you can still be charged. The only way to cancel a recurring payment is to contact the company or your account provider and state that you wish to stop it.
