Evgeni Malkin is a Russian professional ice hockey player. He is a centre and alternate captain for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is nicknamed “Geno.”

He is the son of Natalia and Vladimir Malkin, who worked for the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, and also played hockey. He is married to television personality Anna Kasterova, with whom he has a son.

Evgeni’s paternal grandfather is named Anatoliy Malkin.
