American actor and director, best known for films such as Predator, Exit Wounds, Commando, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, Payback, Deep Cover and A Rage in Harlem. In a 1990 Orange County Register article he says of directing: "There are certain people that aren't used to being told what to do by a 6-foot-4-inch, 220-pound black man who is a director. I’m six feet five, if you were black and big you were not allowed to play not a gladly or platinum ceiling, in terms of the roles you could play. I think I scared a lot of people with my size and just being dark skinned, but I’m a person who laughs a lot. The media at that time saw me as threatening.
