He is the founder and CEO of Blumhouse Productions, the company that produces the horror series Paranormal Activity, Insidious and The Purge. Blum has also produced Sinister, Oculus, Whiplash, The Gift, Hush, Split, Ouija: Origin of Evil, Get Out, Happy Death Day, Upgrade, Halloween, Us, and The Invisible Man. Blum received an Oscar nomination for Best Picture for producing Whiplash, Get Out and BlacKkKlansman.
