Barcroft made her television debut in the soap opera The Edge of Night in 1975. She went on to appear in All My Children, As the World Turns, and Law & Order. She also had a recurring role in the series The Equalizer. Barcroft's film credits include The Stepford Wives, The Boys from Brazil, The World According to Garp, and The Man with One Red Shoe.
