Miguel Cabrera is a Venezuelan professional baseball player. He is a first baseman, third baseman, and designated hitter for the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Florida Marlins. He started The Miguel Cabrera Foundation, to help a variety of children’s funds. He is nicknamed “Miggy.”
Miguel is the son of Gregoria Torres and Miguel Cabrera. At fourteen, he enrolled in a baseball school in Cagua. He is married to Rosangel. He has five children, including three with Rosangel. Miguel is a Catholic, and also practices Santería.
