Nenad Janković, known as Dr. Nele Karajlić, is a Serbian comedian, musician, composer, actor and television director living and working in Belgrade, Serbia. As one of the founders of the New Theravada cultural movement in his hometown of Sarajevo, he is also the lead singer and co-author of one of the most famous groups from the former Yugoslavia, Zabranjeno Pušenje. He co-created and participated in the TV shows Top lista nadrealista and Složna braća. During the Bosnian War, Nele moved to Belgrade, where he founded one of the two descendants of Zabranjeno Pušenje. The split was joined by filmmaker Emir Kusturica and changed its name to The No Smoking Orchestra.
