She popped! Former Bachelor star Arie Luyendyk Jr. and his wife, Lauren Burnham, welcomed their first child into the world on Wednesday, May 29. The couple got engaged in 2018 after season 22 and have had a whirlwind romance ever since. Lauren, 27, and Arie, 37, shared that their new daughter was born happy and healthy on May 29.

Arie took to Instagram Stories to share the happy news, and that their “beautiful baby girl” was 6 pounds and 13 ounces at birth. Pretty close to Lauren’s last-minute guess of 6 pounds, 18 ounces!

Welcome to the World
The couple revealedd that the blonde beauty was in labor during the wee early hours on May 29. At 5 a.m., Arie shared that Lauren “received an epidural” and everything was proceeding “smoothly.” Hours later, they welcomed their precious baby girl! It’s a relief that everything went according to plan since Lauren had to get an E.C.V. done to flip their baby, who was in the breech position, just a few weeks ago.

They’ve Been Eagerly Awaiting
Arie, 37, and Lauren were barely able to contain their curiosity. “We’re really, really excited to meet her. It’s been a long time coming,” she told the outlet when she was about seven months along. Arie added, “I think it’s cool, you know? We’re experiencing being new parents, so we’re on all the apps, learning about the development of the baby.”

Lauren is a workout junkie so being pregnant has been a very interesting experience for her. She joked, “It’s about time to get my body back and to meet our baby. We’re really happy.”

While she was 23 weeks along, the blonde beauty posted a sizzling bikini pic from before she was expecting. “You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone … in this case IT is abs,” she captioned the photo of her toned tummy with “#feelinlikeawalrus.”

The host continued, “He’s such a lover and he’s such a — I mean this in a loving way, he’s such a nerd and he’s such a goofy guy. Like he’s going to be such a good dad rolling around on the carpet with his baby, and they’re great.”

Arie had a few bumps during his journey on The Bachelor, including pulling the ol’ switcheroo and changing his mind about finalist Becca Kufrin. However, he still remains on great terms with the host. Chris continued, “They built their house, they built their home. And so everything’s kind of perfect for them right now. I wish them the best. I love him to death.”
