Robert Forster was an American actor.

Robert was the son of Grace Dorothy (Montanarella) and Robert Wallace Forster, Sr. His father was as an elephant trainer for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Robert had four children, including three with his former wife June Provenzano.

Robert’s paternal grandfather was Cyril Wallace Foster (the son of Selden C. Foster and Mary/Marian Wise). Robert’s grandfather Cyril was born in Maine. Selden was the son of William Wallace Foster and Elizabeth R. Mayberry/Maybury.

Robert’s paternal grandmother was Gertrude May/Mary Simpson (the daughter of James Simpson and Mary Agnes Kildea). Gertrude was born in New Hampshire. James was born in Banff, Scotland, the son of James Simpson and Elizabeth Murray. Mary was born in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, the daughter of Thomas Kildea and Mary.
