Joy Behar is an American comedian, television host, actress, and writer.

She earned a BA in sociology from Queens College in 1964 and a MA in English education from Stony Brook University in 1966. Joy was an English instructor from the late 1960s into the early 1970s until she switched to acting.

She began her career in showbiz in the early 1980s as a receptionist and later a producer on Good Morning America.

In 1997, Behar shot to fame when she was selected as one of the original panelists on the ABC daytime talk show The View, together with Barbara Walters, Meredith Vieira, Star Jones and Debbie Matenopoulous.

Behar now hosts the talk show with Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Meghan McCain and Sara Haines.

Joy was married to television producer Joe Behar from 1965 to 1981 and they had a daughter together, Eve Behar Scotti.

After her divorce from Joe, Joy started dating Steve Janowitz in 1982.

Steve Janowitz is the second husband of Joy Behar.

He is a retired high school teacher and was in the profession for about 45 years.

Steve was born in December 1942 in New York, USA. His father worked as a shop owner, and his mother was a stay-at-home mom. Steve’s grandfather migrated to America from Italy after World War 1. He is of American-Italian descent.

Steve and Joy met in 1982 at a semi-nudist colony. They became friends and began dating shortly after.

The pair got engaged in 2009 but called off their engagement after a few months.

However, on August 11, 2011, they tied the knot at a private ceremony held in New York City, after 29 years of being together. The couple does not have any children together.

Steve lives in Upper West Side, New York City with his wife.
