Netflix has a new superhero show on the way, but for once it isn’t connected with the ever-expanding Marvel Universe that has been so popular for the streaming service lately. Instead, they’ve created iBoy, a show about a kid who gets technopathy.

Technopathy is the ability to control technology, something that is extra relevant these days. The show’s protagonist Tom gets the ability after a shooting leaves him with cell phone fragments in his brain. The rest of the story plays out like a typical superhero origin story, and has some serious parallels to Daredevil.
