She was born in Kaliningrad, Russia, on January 6, 1958. Lyudmila Aleksandrovna Ocheretnaya is her full name, however, she is better known as Lyudmila Putina. She is currently 64 years of age.

Alexander Abramovich Shkrebnev and Yekaterina Shkrebneva are her parents, and she has a sister named Olga Alexandrovna Tsomayeva. Her father was a technician at the Kaliningrad Mechanical Plant.

She studied linguistics. Lyudmila received her bachelor’s degree in Spanish language and philology from Leningrad State University’s Department of Philology in 1986. 

Lyudmila was a German teacher at Leningrad State University’s Department of Philology from 1990 to 1994. She worked as a Moscow representative for Telecominvest from 1998 to 1999 when she fielded phone calls and organized meetings as the lone employee in the Moscow office.
