Keenan Harpole (born in 2001; Age: 20 years old) is an American former Portland State University football player from Portland, Oregon, The United States of America. He became a news headline after he disclosed that he is a fellow student who conducted the fatal shooting and killed a student named Amara Marluke.

The victim was just 19 years old whose dead body was found on April 04, 2022, near the Oregon university’s campus.

Police charged Keenan Harpole with her murder. He is a 20-year-old freshman and a former football player for the school. He appeared in court Tuesday pleading not guilty. Friends of the victim revealed that the suspect had previously been in a relationship with Amara Marluke.

In the courtroom, Amara Marluke’s family shared their pain. The mother’s worst nightmare is that somebody’s so evil that we take for life. They are just so devastated. They even pleaded with the judge to keep Keenan Harpole behind bars.

They said that their daughter was the light of their life. And they strongly encourage the court to protect other women who may face a similar fate. For now, Harpole will stay in jail as those across campus and across Portland, mourn the loss of a young life.

They also said that five years from now who knew what or who America would have been who knew the kind of impact Amara would have made.

In a video statement, PSU’s president also expressed the university’s deepest condolences and sympathies to Amara’s family. She showed great promise and used arts to share her voice and her compassion for the community.

Amara Marluke Death Cause (Fatal Shooting)

The main cause of Amara’s death was gunshot wounds as per her autopsy. It was a case of homicide. Later on April 04, 2022, Keenan handed himself in front of the police and surrendered. He was charged with second-degree murder.

He is also accused of unlawful use of a weapon. Harpole is held at the Multnomah County Detention Center without bail.
