KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Payless Cashways Inc., the 71-year-old chain of building-supply stores, said it would likely liquidate its inventory and go out of business. The Lee’s Summit-based firm told the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Kansas City it did not have enough money to continue operating.
